The FCA Executive Board recently approved to grant the AMATEUR FENCING ASSOCIATION OF THAILAND the right to host the 2018 Asian Fencing Championships in Bangkok. The move was in response to an earlier information that the Chinese Fencing Association will not be able to continue with the hosting rights granted to them previously.
The FCA would like to thank the generous offer of AFAT and its President Admiral SOMDED TONGPIAN for having come forward to take over the responsibility of hosting this important championships despite the short preparation. It must be noted that Thailand has once taken the hosting of the AJCFC after Lebanon had to back out.
Thailand has just successfully organized the 2017 AJCFC and is scheduled to host the upcoming 2017 Asian Masters Fencing Championships in September.
