The Competition Management Seminar held in Taipei City from August 14 to 16, 2019 was a resounding success with 28 participants representing 13 countries in attendance. The seminar covered a wide area of topics essential to equip participants with the knowledge of running a fencing competition. Such topics covered were on DT functions, weapons control, protocol functions, scheduling events and an extensive explanation on the features of the competition software of Fencing Time.
FCA Technical Commission chairman Dr. Abbas Faryabi was assisted by Ms. Marilee Estampador to handle the first day of the seminar covering the topics which provided the general functions of competition management, while Daniel Berke spent the whole second day to give a detailed demonstration of the features and use of the Fencing Time software. The third day was devoted for the practical demonstration where participants were asked to observed the running of the Asian Veterans Fencing Championships and the Asian Cadet Circuit competitions which were simultaneously being held.
The FCA Certificate of Accomplishment were awarded by FCA President Celso L. Dayrit.
