    KOREA DOMINATES JUNIORS EVENTS IN AJCFC

    Team Korea has dominated the Juniors events of the recently concluded 2019 Asian Juniors and Cadets Fencing championships held in Amman Jordan. Winning 6 gold medals, 5 silvers and 6 bronzes, Korean fencers continue their overall performance over their Asian counterparts. China, Japan, and Singapore finished with two golds each. China placed second overall with one bronze medal ahead of Japan.

    Singapore was surprised performer making history by winning the gold in both the Women's Foil individual and team events. Powered by Amita Bertheir, this Singaporean team also won the silver medal in the 2018 World Juniors Championships held in April 2018 in Verona Italy. Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Iran, Uzbekistan and Hong Kong salvaged a bronze medal each. Overall, nine countries made it to the medal tally.
