    ASIAN FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS & OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS

    In consultation with the International Fencing Federation, the FCA has taken the following actions in view of the uncertainties brought about by the worsening global situation in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.

    The Asian Fencing Championships which was supposed to be held in Seoul Korea on April 17 to 22, 2020 has now been postponed for a later date. While the place of the 2020 AFC will still be decided, the said competition will hopefully be in the month of June. This is the same month when all other continents will have their zonal championships.

    The Asian Olympic Qualifier originally scheduled for April 15 and 16, 2020 also in Seoul, South Korea, will also be postponed for a late date, after the FIE receives the agreement from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which coordinates all matters pertaining to the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games.
