    ASIAN FENCERS SHINE IN UNIVERSIADE

    At the fencing competitions of the University Games currently being held in Kazan Russia, Asian fencers have garnered a total of 10 medals, of which 3 are gold, 6 silvers, and 1 bronze medal.

    The Gold medal winners are Korean SHIN A LAM who won the Women's Epee Individual event, Chinese DONG CHAO who won in the Men's Epee Individual event, and KOREA winning the Women's Saber Team event.

    Three silver medals come from Koreans KIM JIYEON in the Women's saber Individual event and SON YOUNG KI in the Men's Foil Individual, together with the Korean Women's Epee Team. China won two silver medals courtesy of SUN YIWEN in the Women's Epee Individual event and the Chinese Men's Epee Team, while KURBANOV RUSIAN of Kazakhstan winning the silver in the Men's Epee Individual event.

    The Kazakhstan Men's Epee Team salvaged a bronze medal, ensuring a two-team medal finish for Asia in this event.

    In summary, Korea came with the finest performance among the Asian participants, winning a total of 2 gold medals and 3 silver medals. China managed with one gold medal and 2 silver medals. Kazakhstan shined in their favorite weapon winning one silver and one bronze medal.
