    2017 FCA EVENTS HOSTS APPROVED

During the FCA General Assembly held in Mongolia on September 7, 2015, the body approved the Bids of the Thailand Fencing Federation and the Hong Kong Amateur Fencing Association to organize the 2017 AJCFC and the 2017 AFC, respectively.

The 2017 Asian Juniors and Cadet Fencing Championships will be held at the Fashion Island Mall in Bangkok Thailand. Bangkok was also the site of the 2013 AJCFC, in addition to various other fencing competitions in the past.

Hong Kong will host the 2017 Asian (Seniors) Fencing Championships on June 17 to 22, 2017 at the Kowloon Bay International Convention Center in Kowloon East of Hong Kong. They lost their bid to organize the 2016 AU23 by a close vote to Japan, so their bid to host the bigger AFC demonstrate their seriousness and readiness to organize such big events.

Bangkok and Hong kong respectively submitted the only bids for the 2 events in 2017. No bids were received for the 2017 Asian Under 23 and the 3rd Asian Masters Fencing Championships. Information was received however that Korea, Vietnam or the Philippines may consider hosting the 2017 Asian Under 23 Fencing Championships, while Singapore is seriously studying the possibility of having the 2017 Asian Masters.
